Terms of Use

1. Who we are

Gencorp Terminal (the “Terminal”) is operated by Gencorp Trading Inc. (“Gencorp”, “we”, “us”), a corporation based in Quebec, Canada. These terms apply when you use the Terminal at tools.gencorptrading.com.

2. Access

The Terminal is for Gencorp Trading members aged 18 or older. You sign in with Discord, and your access depends on the membership role you hold in the Gencorp Trading Discord server. Access is personal: don’t share your account, your session or the content. Access ends when your membership ends, and we may suspend access if these terms are not respected.

3. Education, not advice

Everything in the Terminal (setups, scans, scores, the market light, suggested risk, trade alerts, position sizing, the journal coach and the course) is educational. It is not investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Gencorp does not know your full financial situation, does not act as your broker, dealer, adviser or portfolio manager, and does not manage money for you. You make your own trading decisions and you are solely responsible for them.

4. Trade alerts

Trade alerts are posted by the author about his own trades, for education. They can be late, change or be wrong, and the price may have moved by the time you see one. Sizes shown in the Terminal are a mechanical calculation from the account size, risk profile and stop buffer you set. Check every number before you place an order.

5. Data and tools

Market data, scans and earnings dates come from third-party sources, are generally end-of-day, and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Scores and lists are produced automatically by fixed rules and are not reviewed stock by stock. Historical statistics, such as breakout follow-through, describe the past only.

6. Your content

The trades, notes, settings and progress you enter remain yours. You allow us to store and process them only to run the Terminal for you. You can export your journal and ask us to delete your data at any time (see the Privacy Policy).

7. Acceptable use

Don’t copy, resell, publish or redistribute Terminal content, course videos, alerts or data. Don’t scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or try to get around the access controls. Don’t use the Terminal for anything unlawful.

8. Intellectual property

The Terminal, its software, design, course, indicator and content belong to Gencorp Trading Inc. or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Gencorp, Gencorp Terminal and Gencorp AI are trademarks of Gencorp Trading Inc. TradingView, Discord and Whop are trademarks of their respective owners; Gencorp Trading Inc. is not affiliated with them.

9. Availability and changes

We improve the Terminal continuously, including during the beta. Features can change, pause or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant, we will announce it in the Discord server. Continuing to use the Terminal after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Liability

The Terminal is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Gencorp is not liable for trading losses, lost profits or indirect damages arising from your use of the Terminal, its data or its alerts. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) or any other law that cannot be waived.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

12. Language

These terms are available in French and in English; use the switch at the top of this page. Both versions have the same meaning and effect.

13. Contact

For any question about these terms, open a ticket in the Gencorp Trading Discord server.

Privacy Policy

Who is responsible

Gencorp Trading Inc. is responsible for the personal information handled by the Terminal. The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the President of Gencorp Trading Inc. To reach them, open a ticket in the Gencorp Trading Discord server.

What we collect and why

  • From Discord when you sign in: your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, and your roles in the Gencorp Trading server. Used to confirm your membership, show your name, and re-check your access periodically.
  • What you enter: trades, notes, settings (such as account size and risk preferences), course progress and quiz results, and which trade alerts you’ve handled. Used only to provide those features to you.
  • A sign-in cookie (gc_auth) that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It is strictly necessary. We use no advertising or analytics cookies. Some display preferences (theme, open panels) are kept in your browser’s local storage.
  • Technical logs kept by our hosting provider (such as IP address, browser and pages requested), for security and reliability.
  • Usage statistics: which parts of the Terminal you open and which features you use (for example “confirmed an alert”), counted per day under a pseudonymous ID instead of your Discord ID. Only the owner of Gencorp Trading sees these totals, to decide what to improve. They are deleted after about 13 months.
  • Problem reports you send (your message, an optional screenshot, the page and browser you were using) go to the Gencorp team in Discord, in a private ticket if you ask for one.

We don’t sell your personal information, don’t use it for advertising, and don’t share it except with the service providers below. The journal coach and other analyses run on your own data, inside your account.

Service providers and where your information is stored

The Terminal is hosted by Netlify, which stores your data in the United States. Discord handles sign-in. Course videos play through Whop and its video provider. Charts and the ticker tape load from TradingView, and fonts from Google Fonts; these providers may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. Your information may therefore be stored or processed outside Quebec. It is protected there by the providers’ contractual and security commitments, but it is subject to the laws of the places where it is stored.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have access. If your membership ends, we keep it for up to 12 months in case you come back, then it is deleted automatically. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, receive it in a structured, commonly used format (the journal also exports to CSV, and Settings has a full backup), or withdraw your consent (which ends your use of the Terminal). Open a ticket in the Discord server; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), sessions use signed tokens, and each member can only reach their own data. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information as the law requires.

Changes

We will post any update to this policy on this page with a new date.

Risk Disclosure

  • Trading involves a high risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose some or all of the money you trade. Options can lose their entire value quickly. Short selling and margin can cause losses larger than your investment.
  • Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
  • Past results do not guarantee future results. This includes the author’s trades, results shared in the Discord server, and the historical statistics shown in the Terminal. Results vary from member to member and many traders lose money.
  • Historical and back-tested statistics are calculated after the fact. They do not account for slippage, commissions, gaps, liquidity or the emotions of real trading.
  • A stop order does not guarantee your exit price. Prices can gap past your stop, especially overnight or around earnings.
  • By the time you read an alert, the price may be different. Your fills, sizes and results will differ from the author’s.
  • Consider speaking with a registered financial professional about your own situation before trading.
